Tyre pressures

Does anyone know how much psi your tyres increase by when they're hot? I checked mine about 4 weeks ago and put the up to recommended. 36/42 front/rear. I checked them again earlier after a 30 minute run and the front psi was up by 6. Would the heat push it up by that much or you think one of the 2 machines I used was faulty?

Heat would up it if you checked straight after a run..

I'll throw the compressor on tomorrow and check em cold. At least that way I won't have ridden you the garage. Was just surprised my front was up at 42. Didn't know whether to let a bit out but thought best and left it.

tyres expand due to heat as soon as the wheel is revolving ..going up 6 PSI is very small . As you say do them to the Tyres manufacturers recommended PSI while the tyre is cold and dont worry bout them …

this is why when riding on track you lower the pressures so that the climb up to the correct pressure after a few laps .
