Thats the point, their insurance does. You sign a waiver and they keep a copy of your bank/credit card should you bin it and charge you the £1200 excess in any case. They would probably make a killing if they relaxed a little. I asked about the new Kawasaki 900- ‘yeah fine, book it out tomorrow’.cupidstunt wrote:I would of thought that their insurance would cover customers for a test ride ? How can they expect people to part with in excess of 15k without a test ride for you to decide if it's for you ?
The only reason i bought a benelli some years after riding one was due to being allowed on one at MMC, it was the single most exhilarating and fun thing i’d ridden to that point, bar a stripper from X in the city but you know.... the bike didn’t give me the clap. If that hadn’t have happened i’d probably have ended up on some new, completely not my thing now, GSXR, spending my wednesday’s down the scotch piper supping yuppie larger talking shit about some skinny ass footballer pretending i know wtf i’m talking about.
Yes i would have saved money but also would never have owned such an iconic bike with a genuine wow factor (including high repair bills and the at the time piss poor Italian reliability i know). I would never have had an excuse to genuinely speed (it cut out below 60) and would never have met an awesome group of like minded people who also bought money pits but got addicted.
Its daft.... I’ve ridden a Ducati desmodecci (spelling) not so long ago in Thailand and suffered less hassle, rode it in flip flops too with a lid fit to hold your dippy egg in and nothing more.... what ID/deposit/passport did i give i hear you ask...... my room number and 600baht then 150Baht each day thereafter.
MMC, its insured, get an f’in grip will you!

Hahaha tempted one day, under the presumption that a she/he/it would probably give you less ear ache than a standard menstruating brunette :cupidstunt wrote:Just a after though did you do any sausage planting in Thailand ?
