Diesel spill them ? Make a claim on the council or MIB. Someone is responsible as you shouldn't have to claim on your own insurance for something that's not your fault

Quite a few lawyers will fight a case for you http://www.motorbikeclaims.org.uk/motor ... ls-claims/

Dave,

I don't plan on making a claim anyway.

All that appears to be wrong with the bike is:-
Forks/ bars twisted. Hopefully should strighten out when loosened.
Left front indicator broken.
Scratched left bar end.
Scratched left mirror.
Some scratches on the crash bars (which is what they are there for)

Gears, engine and brakes all appeared to work fine.

Hopefully my mate will be round in the next week or so to have a proper look at it. (I'm stuck on my crutches with a soft cast so can't open the garage; let a lone get into it.)

Bloody hell Steve, take it easy on those crutches, and get a little bell to ring when you want something. I'm sure the missus would love that

Get well soon mate. We don't bounce quite so well as we get older!

Thanks Ant n Jim. Unfortunately I don't bounce at all unless I've had five pints of lager and a couple of JDs or Dark n Stormys. Maybe that's the answer. If I'd have come off my bike pissed I'd have been ok!!

Thanks for then get wells.

I've seen the surgeon. He's decided it appears to be pretty stable so I'm immobile again for another two weeks to see if it has a chance of mending itself. If not I'm getting meccano lol.
