Ooops.

Post by jaffa1963 » 02 Mar 2017, 19:14

I had the most stupid off yesterday morning and am now sat in bed with a broken ankle.

I turned into a side street at less the 10 mph as I'd just let a car pass me. As soon as I turned in the front slid followed very quickly by the back. Absolutely nothing I could about it. Even after getting up I was sliding trying to get the bike back up but there was nothing visible and no diesel smell. Just like an ice rink.

Now waiting for a fracture clinic appointment lol.

Sorry to hear that, it's better than a faster off, but frustrating to be out for so long because of it

Hope the recovery is quick and uncomplicated

Get well soon Jaffa. Load up on pain killers. I did summat similar and the 1st piss in the morning nearly killed me. How the fuck your ankle and bladder are connected is beyond me. A break is good though. Tendon damage is worse.

I've now played back my helmet cam it is shows a very faint shine, like a damp patch, coming off the road surface just into the corner and that's exactly where I lose it. The bike slides away and goes down instantly.

Apart from the broken left Fibula I haven't got a single mark on me.
