Cheers mate. All the time consuming stuff is upon me(shortening all the cables/lines). I've decided to temporarily put the standard clocks on. Relocate my battery and get some exhaust sorted. Whilst my seat is getting upholstered I'm gonna service my carbs (jetted up for S&B oval pods and 2:2 exh.) hopefully I can MOT at the end of Jan. Always nice to get a comment, piss takes included.
Revving the bollox off it since 1982

i'd make one to fit a glass matt battery rather than the 'anti-gravity' one they fit. As the anti-gravity battery comes in @ around £120Stumoores wrote:

Decided to put side panels back on mine and keep a standard high CCA battery for now.
Who's setting up your carbs? Also going to be running the same set up but have yet to find anyone locally.
Have you seen the pod adapter for the original speedo/tacho? £62 and converts yours into Bandit 600 type ones.

I've got a gel glass Matt battery for it. I'm making the clock bracket to fit my new digital clock and water temp guage also. I was going to overhaul my carbs following Larry Gargill's carb book and well suck it and see. The jetting was recommended by the people who supplied the overhaul kit so I'm hoping it's not miles out. Need to get some exhaust pipes sorted soon. Do you know what size and grade of stainless tube we need yet ?

I dropped off the seat in Preston today (bootleg customs) they're doing it in distressed leather for me, £90 all in. It's being foamed up then I have to collect it, test fit then return back to them for the leather cover.

thats really cheap. Are they using your original seat pan? Or have you made/modified one?Stumoores wrote:I dropped off the seat in Preston today (bootleg customs) they're doing it in distressed leather for me, £90 all in. Stupidly i chucked my entire seat but to be fair the pan was rotten through all over and not worth saving.
Trying to find frame differences between your custom (US)
And my deluxe (UK) frames, might have to copy your seat as its a £200 saving over the one I was to buy.
