Clutch problem
Clutch problem
Well I fitted a full ebc clutch kit as it said correct stack height only problem is when clutch is fully pressed the clutch is biting slightly and when engine is running gear selection is more of a clunk than smooth any suggestions it's hydraulic clutch and done 600 miles since

Re: Clutch problem
Alright Smudge
Did you soak the plates in oil before fitting?
We're the steel plates replaced?
Have you tried bleeding the system again?

Re: Clutch problem
did you check the basket for any notches?
Re: Clutch problem
Basket looked ok first and last friction plate had had the groove steels were also changed it feels like the pushrod needs that extreamely hairline mm to engage fully I'll try bleeding again I was thinking springs at first but that would just cause clutch lever to be stiff or maybe the clutch lever could be worn and not giving that extra bit . It works fine when engine not running. And I soaked clutch in warm oil

Re: Clutch problem
're bled same issue stripped the lever cleaned it and the little piston thing that pushes into resoviour it was thick mucky craps on it still no joy noticed there was a bit of play so back off and slipped a 5mm washer on the piston thing on lever side of the lug and it now works spot on after some googling looks like previous owner could of bent lever to suit his hands and a new clutch has upset this so will be buying a vfr adjustable lever
