Think it's same as Google is it open maps I know Google has implemented parts of waze into there maps

This is the issue I find with google maps.
If you cant get a signal the map can freeze and your stuffed.
Not an issue in a lot of areas but just travelling to skegness once I missed a couple of junctions because of it.
Co pilot answers this problem.
