Bloody wet weather....

Post by Cliff » 26 Jan 2018, 07:31

I am sick of the wet conditions, I can’t wait for everything to dry out.
Every time I walk my dog she needs a bath, (ie transferring her mud onto me.) And Labs love muddy puddles!
Waste of time washing the car, because it’s as dirty as ever 5 miles down the road.
And bikes? I’ve forgotten how to ride one - I’ll have to put Post-It notes on all the controls reminding me what they do.
It's all about the TT ....

Post it notes don't work well. They fly off at 20kmh, even behind a screen as I found out in Calais.
Was never sure I was on the correct side of the road after that for a week +.

Age ain't got anything to do with it... I've ridden in shit weather and will do if I need to (did for years before I had a car), but have nothing to prove and much prefer riding in nice weather... Plus I pretty much hate cleaning bikes, and in this weather with the salt in the roads you can't really get away with not doing after each trip unfortunately

There's the pisser, it'll be lovely weather when I'm at work (like today) or on family duties... Could make a nice bet that when I'm free it'll be bloody snowing or something, lol

Summer just gives more opportunities and later light nights - I'm looking forward to it :-)

First winter in about 8 years i haven’t commuted on the bike.
Despite turning a 30 min journey into an hour and a half on occasion i have not missed it one bit.
Finally admitted to myself that riding in shitty cold wet weather is wank.

Strangely so is having a cold whilst shitting and wanking. Its like the most depressing release ever.
