Yeah, don't forget to register your scheme with HMRC as well if you're using contractors.Dave wrote:dont forget to register with FENSA smudge good luck with the new job ....
Re: what the feck have i done
Don't really need it Dave due to new council regulations all fitters should be telling customers they need a local authority certificate of work to be able to sell house which ill be putting in all jobs, fensa only check 3 jobs and you reged local council check allDave wrote:dont forget to register with FENSA smudge good luck with the new job ....
Re: what the feck have i done
Anyone can fit.
I did the same on a house i owned.
Got the council to inspect and certify.
The reason for fensa registration is for the exact same reason.
Cos anyone can fit.
The scheme was designed to try and weed out the cowboys.
Members need to offer guarantees etc (10 years when i was in that game).
All the bigger firms register as its a good selling point.
Smaller firms dont bother and get work with lower prices.
Ive seen both good and truly awful stuff from both when customers have needed a visit from the manufacturer.
