Insurance and service history

Post by SMUDGER » 28 Aug 2016, 08:37

When did it become a requirement to send service history on a claim.
When I had the claim for the 600 was never asked to send but now they want the service history same insurers too

as far as i know its not a requirement, but if you have stated on your proposal that the bike is unto date on service schedules ,then they have a right to see it.As per usual with insurance companies, its a way of getting out of payment

Think it is just to help with valuation.
Ive been asked for mot, both sets of keys, v5, service history, etc with both of my claims.
What is the claim for?
Theft or an accident?

No but damage both mirrors screen all left fairing and smashed left engine casing hole was about hand size.
Im sure it's going to be beyond economical repair

Strange that they are asking to see it all up front?
Would be a write off with just plastics damage.
My ktm didnt look too bad but was still almost £4k of damage.

Buy it back and get spraying?....
