Ah good old shifts.

Im glad to say its nice easy days for me now.
I miss the days off but my god i don't miss the nights / weekends.

Ours were conti shifts but we did 4 nights, 3 off,
3 days, 1 off, 3 nights
3 off, 4 days
7 off.

We were desperate not to go on 4 on 4 off, its easier on the body but a pain when you dont get a weekend off for a while.

Ha, I'm the opposite, I couldn't work day shifts. Offered 4 on 4 off nights, tbh I think the weekends are not all that these days anyway, suppose it's different for you like as you have kids.

All of the above shift patterns are better than what I did for the best part of 30 yrs in the police. Not wanting any sympathy like. I knew what I was signing up for, but they were killers and marriage breakers.

Hated them, long shifts.
The days off were good and hardly used my holidays.
We used to do 2x 12hr days 2x 12hr nights.

I do 5 on 3 off mate but as some weeks only 4 days fall within the pay week I normally end up doing 6 and 2.. Don't find them to bad 4 and 4 would be good if your either salary or could get decent hours in
