Golf - anyone local play?
Thinking of getting back into this in the spring.
Anyone local to the wigan area play?
Not played in years but wouldnt mind having a round now and then.

Re: Golf - anyone local play?
Is this pub golf? If so i'm in. If its swinging sticks in the hope your ball travels far enough to outweigh the embarrassment of wearing chequered pants then its a pass from me sorry .

Hi Buddy ,, Give me a Bell in Spring , but my course is in St Helens,
Wigan at Haigh Hall is a fine course long and testing but not played it in years
This time of year, many courses could be real iffy with closures due
to rain we are very lucky at Grange Park as most of the course lies on Sandstone
and is well drained but even some of the fairways around Manchester are really
unplayable... Spring the finer weather is best ..

I played sherdley many moons ago.
Used to enjoy it.
Never played your club.
Haigh hall was better on the old layout imo.

Count me in Lee. Grange park is a nice track. Have played it a couple of times. As for local courses Duxbury is much better than Haigh Hall imo but will only be fit again in the spring.lee wrote:Nice one jimmy.jimmytanko wrote:I've not played for years either but definitely up for a game at some point Lee
