Bolton Motorcycle Workshop - views / experiences ?

Post by Soviet » 17 Aug 2015, 18:52

http://www.boltonmotorcycleworkshop.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Am thinking of getting some engine work done here - had some good write ups but was a few years back - they seem to be still going - anyone used them, know of them, had experience etc ?

It's based over Belmont - on an industrial estate opposite and just before the Black Dog pub (that takes the top road to Rivington Barn).

Cheers me dears...

Used him a couple of years back.
Was very happy with his work.
He even picked my bike up free of charge.

What are you getting done out of interest?

They appear to do a valve shim check and adjustment with throttle bodies balanced and coolant replacement as one package - the bike will hit 23/24k this winter so am looking for a good, trust worthy set up rather than a franchise dealer - I do all the other servicing myself but not engine work. Thanks for the feedback - any others used them ?

Only ever heard good things about them. There was a chap on here who used them for work on his race bike iirc, can't remember his name and he only lived round the corner from me :?

I've used them a couple of times, most recently earlier this year for a valve service on a Ducati, I can't fault their work. The service is personal, the quality of the work is top notch, and the pricing is very fair. Unlike most main dealers, you'd have absolute faith that the work had been done thoroughly and meticulously. That's an entirely impartial view, and I'd be very surprised if your experience wasn't the same. Highly recommended.

There's a video on Facebook about a Bolton bike shop that had some quad bikes nicked on Sunday , the robbers are easy to see , not sure if it's the same bike shop as this one .

Russ is a good lad and definitely knows his onions. Dead nice and I've used him before plus I know a few people who've used him religiously for years and won't go anywhere else.

Russ is a great bloke and really knows his stuff. His wife is lovely and so is are their two dogs. He does a quality job every time. He's done work for me and my son on a Yamaha, Triumph and Aprilia and will soon be doing work on my BMW.

Hi mate,

Yeah I've used them for years can now and can't fault the work or service.

Russ is a great guy who certainly knows his stuff and his wife Vicky is lovely.

I haven't heard anything bad about them at all mate.
