Just got back from a trip round Wales and from about 100 miles onwards I've had a stinker of a headache. I'm using some mold your own plugs off eBay and I've tried the foam ones. Can anyone recommend some good ones I can try without paying silly money for the custom ones..

...I've honestly tried the lot and struggle to get on with them - I've tried the mould at home like yours, plus Oxford foam plugs (which are overkill and a little disorientating I think) .

There are other styles that are a plug with a baffle in (that lets in less damaging but important to hear noise) - I've three different sets and all are similar

The Pinlock set seemed the best but maybe a little expensive at £20 :




Alpine do some too (similar price) :



These two above arrive with slightly different sizes in the box and I put mine in to a snug fit - but they seem to work their way out slightly on a journey and I then get a pulsing sound as vibration etc creates a kind of on/off on the seal in my ear plug - tried many different types and styles and i think I just have funny (or waxy) ears ! Might work for you though ...

I use these bad boyz they work for me and my bike is loud !

The Mrs use them moldex one as she claims I snore ( liar ) .. I've tried them before and they work well till they fall out.. Might give the pin lock ones a try though.. Cheers for the help

I use whatever is going at Ants factory

You can get a big tub of moldex ones off amazon, foam earplugs are really supposed to be single use as they wear out when you squish them.

Put them in proper, and keep using fresh ones you'll be reet.
