Always reassuring to know that you are not sweating your arse off when parting with skin on the road surface as you skid along.

I've owned loads different brands from anywhere from £50 - £160 pairs and the best I've used were hood.

Ride mag have just done a full test on riding jeans - some interesting results. Some brands surprisingly ineffective in a crash - general thread was - max protection = heavy jeans and sweaty balls / balance = comfort plus average protection...

Still better than tracky bottoms and trainers ...!

I've bought a pair of Resurgence Jeans, how do they compare to the other brands?

Can you take a pic and post the results from Ride magazine?

Pic on resurgence and dragging below - having a quick look the winners are :

Ride Recommended :
Resurgence Voyager £240 - 17/20
Draggin Holeshot £260 - 16/20
Bull-It Veloce £240 - 15/20
Roadskin Beast £150 - 13/20

No Best Buy - looks like you get what you pay for - the cheaper models had really poor protection scores to the CE standards (1-2s out of 10 points in the score) - Ride did this from desktop data (rather than their own crash testing) .

They also say that wearing an armour undersuit under ordinary jeans might offer similar protection to the cheaper biker jeans...

I've got some RST jeans which weren't even tested but I'm sure won't have fared well

If you want to read the full review head down to the bikers library at WH Smith / Asda / Tesco newstands - lol

Having now seen the results of the tests are you still happy to wear a £30 pair of bike jeans? You get what you pays for!

I take your point chaps, the unfortunate thing is I honestly couldn't afford to spend 150 to 260 on a pair of jeans, I know some people would say well you can't put a price on your body, however I had an off at 60mph ish with some £70 textile bottoms and a £70 jacket and they did the job, yeh the lot had to be binned after however not a scratch, ide love and prefer to spend 400 to 500 on kit but I honestly couldn't afford to if I could I would chaps, I wouldn't say I'm the only one either who would say this, however I'm not a bongle who would ever ride round in shorts or tracksuit bottoms or even trainers, I get the nest kit on my budget. If you feel sorry for me donations welcome haha :-)
