The pricing is in €. Be careful, it might be LHD.
Does that mean it'll operate like an Italian tank? 1 forward gear and 5 reverse? :)

Quick update:
Adventure Bike Warehouse are unable to repair my bike due to the extent of work required and their lack of space available to have a bike on site for x number of weeks/months.

Plan B is to buy another bike and either sell the R1100S as parts or do it up in my spare time (not that I have any).

Sell as a project to whoever they had in mind.
Buy something else.

+1 for selling it on as is for someone to do as a project. Get it out of your way so (a) you don't have to worry about it anymore, (b) you don't have to worry about the repair bill spiraling upwards once the gearbox is open and they find it contains metallic spaghetti instead of cogs, and (c) means you can get a cheap runabout for this *cough* "summer".

Also look at it like this - you could give this bike away for free and still have lost less in the time you owned it than you would have lost in just depreciation alone on a new bike :)

I think you should replace the BMW with this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/APRILIA-SL100 ... 3cfc9a2af5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Definitely get shot. That would be my advice to any BMW owner once the warranty is spent.
