Fishing for lurkers...

Not a bad collection is it. Bet the Africa twin is a lovely thinglee711 wrote:Popped in for a nosey and saw this thread, so hello peeps. Still riding but predominantly commuting to work, which takes up most of my time now. Moved on from the fireblade and passed through Tuono v4, Bandit 6, GSXR 600, and now stable a GSXs1000 and a CRF1000l Africa Twin. Mainly gravitate towards the Africa Twin because its just a great do what you want bike.
Do you have a long commute then?
Re: Fishing for lurkers...
@Clarkey yes the AT is really nice ride, it has the DCT gearbox which is a revelation, the gixus is basically a naked gixxer thou and is a bit of a wild thing. Commute from wirral to kirkby twice daily so the AT just sucks the ride up and is good on juice too, pulls 51 mpg compared to 40mpg on the suzuki.

Yeah I bet the DCT is good, especially stop start traffic... never ridden one but would be curious for surelee711 wrote:@Clarkey yes the AT is really nice ride, it has the DCT gearbox which is a revelation, the gixus is basically a naked gixxer thou and is a bit of a wild thing. I’m still around only recently remembered my password lol,to be honest I’ve not bothered with any forums of late not just NWB
I’ve still got the XJR1300 but hardly use it nowadays mainly because we now have grandkids so finding a dry day with no work and no kids is nearly impossible
