His wasnt the normal red-green type though.

I am, I can distinguish colours ok but apparently I've got a middling red/green colour blindness.

No worries, cheers for the reply

Basically bought my dad some corrective glasses but because of damage to his eye they didn't work - I can get a refund, but as they're from America i've lost postage on them, so curious if anyone wanted them at what I'd get refunded - at least some good would come out of it then

I am.
Brake lamps, indicators, traffic light red and Amber, street lamps and zebra crossings are all the same colour. Makes traversing a strange town in a winter evening rush hour intense.

Would you want some of these, saving the postage?

https://enchroma.com/products/receptor

I can get a refund minus the postage so it doesn't matter either way to me, but if someone else wanted some this is a way to save postage which I know I've already lost

They're not cheap, but if I had colour blindness and the cash spare I'd give it a go

Lived with it for 5 decades. Kinda akin to it now.
