Good topic starter @lee.

They you post look good and KTM are definitely going the right way with a mid range twin. However, the below has stirred my loins. Not because I want a Chelsea tractor, but because of the phrasing that includes the word "range".

I just collected a new 390 Duke - some of the KTM stuff is just lovely and good value for money.
The 790 does indeed look a great bike

I've recently picked up a cagiva planet 125, for pennies and also have the aprilia shiver that was cheap as chips, so once both are done up to a sufficient standard, if I decide to sell them on I'll make a tidy profit that might get put towards a nicer newer bike, the ktms are all lovely, but I still fancy a yamaha xsr 700 or 900.

All all those posted by @lee and @cabernet look nice, especially the second by Lee - the colour scheme on the Guzzi doesn't do it for me but apart from that it's a nice thing

Unfortunately not in a position to buy another bike this year, and due to additions to the family I don't use the one I've got, but I really want a Harley next so I've started saving!

Agree this is a good topic starter, hopefully everyone who reads it will post a reply :)

The XSR7 is on my radar too, as is the SV650X. The Suzuki may be too prone for me. Probably hang on to see what Guzzi do with the V85 engine.

Depending on work and health, the XSR700 and 900 look interesting, maybe the vanilla MT09. Need to decide whether I'm going to have another bike soon though.

The miles you do, you'll be in the grave before that old bus is run-in.
