Dear All

Help us save UK Motorsport
Following the landmark ‘Vnuk’ case, the European Court of Justice has ruled that national laws must be changed to ensure that all mechanically propelled vehicles are insured for third-party losses regardless of type of use, in all places, at any time.
This applies to everything from Formula One racing cars, to mobility scooters, to antique trams and everything in-between (obviously includes all forms of motorcycle sport).
The UK Government opened a consultation on Wednesday 21st December, seeking views on two proposed ways forward.You can read more here: http://www.fightvnuk.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
So how can you help? We have started a petition asking that HM Government under no circumstances implements the 'Vnuk' judgement in a way that encompasses vehicles involved in motor and motorcycle sport activities.
Website: http://www.fightvnuk.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Petition: http://bit.ly/2i6Cgsf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Can I ask you please to sign the petition to show the Government the strength of support we have in Motorcycle sport and then please disseminate this email as far and as wide as you can to all the Membership and likewise encourage all our Licence Holders and anyone you know who rides motorcycles/enjoys the sport as a competitor/official/spectator to sign the petition.
Kind regards

Gary

Only if we want it to... but as usual Whitehall civil servants will do everything they can to introduce this.

More bureaucracy ensures the future of their jobs, pensions and knighthoods.

If the EU pass this, my understanding is that if a claimant were to take his case to the European court before the end of the two year period after the triggering of the illusive article 50, then it would be upheld anyway. Just get it signed.

Nope, but judging by traffic since, probably a Goody move. So let's let CupidStunts lie.
