Best cleaning spray
Best cleaning spray
After one ride yesterday my bike looks to have collected the majority of Manchester's salt deposit and looks like shit.. I've always used muc off but I've ran out and want to try a different one..
Sdoc100 seems to get good reviews but are there any others worth a try?

I've not used it so can't attest to it's performance, but I follow James Whitham on Twitter so constantly see his promotions of https://team6t9.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - might be worth a try if similarly priced?Pacuk wrote:After one ride yesterday my bike looks to have collected the majority of Manchester's salt deposit and looks like shit.. Re: Best cleaning spray
what you need to be careful of is the reaction to the salt with the cleaner, this leaves furry bolts etc.Its best to wash of the salt with cold water and clean throughly with it until all the salt is removed.
I tend to protect the bike before going out on salty roads ,ACF 50 or GT50 (similar to WD40) ,this leaves a film on the bike ,it collects the salt ,and is easier to wash off .
I use that cleaner you quote SDoc 100 , during the summer ,it is good stuff but not so cheap

I'm not a fan of these bike cleaners always found rinsing off the salt with water then a normal car wash shampoo

Re: Best cleaning spray
If you've already given the bike a good level of protection with the ACF50 I'd be inclined to just give it a quick hose down and dry to get the worst off. No cleaning agents as that will remove some of the ACF50.
My poor Funduro got cleaned and loads of ACF50 a month ago and won't get a proper clean now until spring. Just hosing down and the odd bit of oil/ lube / ACF50 where needed. And that's all it gets every winter.
