Helmet Cam

Post by gmercer1 » 21 Oct 2016, 11:16

With all the planks on the roads these days too busy doing makeup, shaving, eating breakfast, txting whilst driving I';m thinking of getting a helmet cam to record my daily commutes in case anything bad every happens.

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas what's a good camera out there to buy?

Cheers

my mate does some great vids with his drift ghost, I ponder the question about putting one on for the same reason, the thing that puts me off
1. the price of a good hd cam is stupid imho
2.Im not the most techy guy and they make using and editing the footage a massive hassel

Don't tease me now, lol

Jokes aside I've been waiting for a decent 360 cam at a reasonable price, and that one is looking quite good. Just waiting for it and the Kodak 4KVR360 to come out and someone do a proper comparison

SJcam M10, its better quality than my GoPro Hero 4!!!! And 1/5th the cost. Got my misses one.

Has a better recording system, better menu layout and more mounts etc included. Also if you break it/lose it etc its only £47/55

Bear in mind that police can and often do seize helmet cams to review the content and see if there's anything worth prosecuting you for. The fudge here is that they don't have to witness you doing anything naughty - just have a suspicion. So the question here is whether or not you can get a good quality helmet cam that encrypts the footage so that only you or your nearest and dearest can access the content with the appropriate password...?

The power to change your life comes from taking total responsibility for it.
