Depends on report.
Any damage to headstock and not worth it.
Isn't cat c beyond economical repair?
And headstock damage would make it a cat b salvage only?
Just a question not a point or comment as I'm under impression cat b bikes can not be bought back but insurance firms sell them to authorised part sellers??

You may well be right.
But probably wont matter.
Unless its ridiculously cheap (sub £500) i wouldn't want it anyway.
Not much point spending a fortune on new bits from ktm to end up with a cat c or d bike thats not worth much.

nah Id take the money for that Lee and start fresh with something else ..

Loads of hassle buying back a cat c ,doing it up then selling on ,as a lot of riders are weary of them….could be sat in your garage for ages before sold

Seen a few nice ones for £4.5k

Im toying with the idea of just getting a cheaper bike for about £2k and getting rid of the cbr, then maybe get a winter bargain.

Be a while until the claim is settled though.

At least see how.much you can buy it back for, maybe someone on here would have it off you and do it up, better than a company buying it off the insurance and doubling what they paid for it
