Ducati 848

Post by Stumoores » 24 Apr 2016, 19:14

I am seriously thinking of a Ducati as my next ride. I like the 1199 panigale best of all but it means finding another £4K on top of the money I would get for my 2 current machines. I have just seen that the 848 corse Evo can be had for sub 7k (2011 with < 4K miles) now obviously it's not gonna trump the panigale but I have no idea if they are any good or not.
Has anyone on here had one or test ridden ?

To be honest I love it but expensive to run £600 service every two years hard bike to ride race suspension which is shit for B roads gear boxes are not the best fantastic brakes quality handling and sound if it's got termi's on, don't use Ducati Manchester and most Ducati riders are cocks would I have another most definitely although I prefer my 899

I always fancied a 749r but they all seem to have been ragged to within an inch of their lives, still yet to go see a decent one.
Rode both the 848 and an 1199 in Thailand 2 years ago, both stunning bikes, but as Rich said- stiff ride and thai road are actually quite nice

£159 for a full service or just an oil change?
