GSX-S1000 & 1000F

What are peoples thoughts on these new Suzuki's
Are there huge differences from the Z1000 and Z1000SC or BMW S1000R or are they clone, perhaps a pale clone.

Personally i think the gsx looks like a copy of the cb1000, but, it has been hailed as a naked K5, which by all accounts can't be a bad thing. I'd still rather an MT-07/09, But without a play on one, i couldn't pass judgement.

It seems more and more that styling is converging on sportsbikes as aerodynamics and the laws of physics dictate form above all other considerations. That's why I love my pig-ugly brick of a thumping big v-twin so much more lol :D

Looks good (I have the CB1000R and it's pretty much a carbon copy) and is at a cracking price point for the litre sized naked bikes - would be interesting to see how the motor goes- the CB1R is a tug boat from 1k revs and very very smooth but the GSXS has potentially more horses - looks like a good job though ....

i posted about these on the last site , Personally I love em , looking forward to having a go on the naked one …they have the Gixxer thou engine from 2005/2006, that was suppose to be the best gixxer ever …however that engine design is now 10 years old!!

Its in a similar price bracket to the MT09 , i think the Yam would be better value though

I'm interested in the so called gsxr 1000 k5 newer bike as I'm ex k6 rider the newer I hear in de tuned as I think hitting the 190 on an un faired bike would be the best plan

It's looks good to me an if it sounds like the old k6 well thats a bonus in my book

Long live the k5/k6

Was looking at these at the bike show, the naked one looked good IMO but the faired version looked a bit odd and cheaply done although the price don't say so

I've not looked in detail at the specs but I just think Suzuki are being really lazy at the moment.

Like the non-changing GSX-Rs, this bike shows no imagination at all. It might be good value but there's no 'wow' factor at all and it's so ridiculously late to the market there are several alternatives from manufacturers either doing 'wow' (Yamaha) or just doing 'good' (Kawasaki, Triumph).

Most months now Suzuki aren't even in the top 10 manufacturers for sales - this bike shows us why
