Bloody floods

Post by rumpoldstilskin » 27 Dec 2015, 14:12

Took me 5 hours from Wakefield to Burscough due to every major & minor route being shut, a la M62 sink hole, middleton dam burst, east lancs shut, Parbold under lots of water.

Popped out today to Rivington Barn, haven't made it, Police shit roads through the very wet Croston, also under water, rode through a flooded road which can only be described as up to my seat deep :/

Then got stuck where a stone bridge has been washed away:/

Could everyone stop flagging their driveways please.

yep we seem to have had it pretty wet up here…its just as well the temps are mild, cos if it was freezing, all the rain would have been snow, we would have been really fooked then…..for months….thank god for global warming

Ridden up to my niece's today in Todmorden. All good. Not even a power outage. She'll be going home tomorrow. Surreal scene though.
