Re: Breakdown cover
Been with the AA for decades. Not the cheapest, but covering me and Mrs on or in anything is great. Perhaps not right for someone with only one vehicle.

Re: Breakdown cover
I'm with my bank, and used them a couple of times. Just make sure you specifically ask for a flatbed otherwise they'll send a tow truck by default (even though you've told them its an alternator related issue and you need taking home!)

Re: Breakdown cover
For the bikes, I am with Peter James, breakdown is included in the premium. For a recent nail in my tubed back tyre up at the Ponderosa, the AA were sent, complete with trailer inside a transit looking van. For the car I use Autoaid which is basically insurance, you pay the breakdown man and then claim the cost back. A couple of people I know have used them without problem. At £42 for the year, also good value, homestart, breakdown, relay included. Myself and Husband are covered, but not partners.
