Cbr 650F or Cbr 600f

Two bikes have currently got my attention, the Cbr 600F (2011-2013) and its replacement, the Cbr 650F. Has anyone got any experience of either bike? Is there really much difference for the £2k price difference?

No but the 650 is meant to be down on power to make it A2 restrictable. They are supposed to have got more bottom end and mid range two improving it's on road manners and economy. Not ridden either though.

A friend bought a new CB650f in Jan, took till June for him to run it in, yawn yawn Mr Honda says this.

As soon as he opened it up after run in, his answer was to go and swap it for a CB1000f.

It seems the reviews were right about it being a capable commuter, end of.

The CB600F - last version is a Hornet with a fairing - adjustable usd suspension plus ABS options - handled well and is good fun in the upper revs - great bike - 650 is much softer and less well equipped - look s good but nowhere near the machine it replaced...

Owned a cbr 600 yrs ago and test rode the 650 when it hit the show rooms, loved the 600 and was impressed with the 650,it felt very light (but I had just got off the vtr)pulled well enough through the gears and after about 5mins it was obvious how easy it was to reach point gaining speeds without realising,my only criticism on the day was how quite it was,if I was to buy one now I'd prob edge to the 650 and if they made one with that styling and a vtr motor I'd buy one today :D

Cheers for all the tips, after talking to multiple owners on a few groups I've so far come to the conclusion that the 600 is actually the better bike taking into account the price and features, it has more power, torque, fully adjustable suspension and to top it off, a screen that actually works. The 650 seems more aimed towards the A2 market (which is no longer an issue), although that extra 13mpg would be nice....
But, I'll still give both a test ride and see which I gel with the most.

I'm getting the new bike itch haha it's got to be fired I think, I missed them too much when I went naked, I'm still keeping the sv though, only had it a couple of months, this'll just be a weekend toy.

Is there not a Road tax break at 600cc which the 650 would fall foul of? Be a fair few 13mpg to save that year extra.

Yeah it's about £20 a year difference, but considering I do 15k a year on average, I'd more than make that back.
