I've mentioned on another thread that I got knocked off my bike.
Broke a thumb in the process, so turned down the offer of a hire bike.
Thumb is now healed, with some minor muscle pain, so I rung them again to see if I could get a hire bike or courtesy bike, and they've told me that since it's been more than a month since the crash, they couldn't recover the costs of a hire bike, and for a courtesy bike, the third party needs to admit liability.

Would've been nice to be told all this upfront when I turned down the initial offer, could've just left it sitting on the drive until I was ready.

My budget at max is £2000, but I'd prefer to spend less than £1500 as I'll also need to buy a full set of gear to ride the bike.

If anyone's spotted anything cheap and reliable, please let me know.
