Welcome along mate, as said above, test ride a few different bikes and find out which suits you best.
Enjoy whichever you go for.

Good job mate. I went for a cbr600f4i after a 10 year lay up. 156 mph top speed (if your that daft) and still relatively light. Lots to learn, youll get loads of help off here.
Welcome

Welcome Lee's bro.
Firstly. Congratulations :) secondly- get a single seat bike.... I had far fewer problems having a day to myself when i only had one seat hahaha.
How tall are you? First big bike choice is hard, i started on a 400 NC24 after learing on 500's, got my road craft and confidence built up quickly then jumped to a 900 triple within the year. Each to their own, just sit on them all for as long as you can.

Belated welcome mr moog........... but a welcome is better than none :D

well done for passing. My first was a VFR 800. Not to big and rides like a smaller bike but very forgiving

So like mrSlike said I had the opportunity to buy a 2014 Honda CB650F tri colour scheme and I admit I fell in love with it but after doing a bit of soul searching and speaking to my bro I decided against it due to the price £5000 I just couldn't justify spending that sort of money on my 1st bike so a week later I visit Keith Dixons Yamaha in Accrington as I was over that way for the monthly drinking session with my bro. Two bikes were in my price range which included my CBF as a trade in.
A Kawasaki ER5 and a Yamaha FZS600 Fazer
Fazer was for me, looked lovely and felt nice and comfy plus it seemed like it had been loved by previous owners as has had many extras fitted. Put down a deposit & picked her up a week later on Saturday. What a ride home it was, absolutely amazing!
I will post a picture and explain all the extras the previous owners have done on her.
I have a huge grin constantly on my face at the moment :)
