Honda CD175 cafe racer project

Reluctantly putting the old lass up for sale soon.
She's, at a guesstimate, 70% complete.

link to the old forum and the build photo's http://archive.northwestbikers.net/inde ... cer.24114/

Rear half a honda CD175 tank (for the seat)
Headlamp and bowl from a 70's Harley Davidson motocross bike (also 6v)

Probably missed loads off.
The bike ran when I bought it, fresh fuel on a remote bottle, fresh oil and the new battery, I'd already taken the exhausts off so I didn't run her for long but no knocking and the gears worked.

Now fully drained of fuel (for storage)
Engine still turns over on the kick start lever with good compression.

To finish she needs;
- exhausts finishing (I can have this done before sale if bought at the right price)
- front spindle machining (again I can have this done at the right price)
- new steerer bearings (buy tapered as they don't run away like 3 BB's have done  )
- the seat fabricating with battery hidden in the hump
- cafe racer rear sets or some from a modern bike
- MOT'ing
- tank touching up (again i can do this for the right price- misses knocked a bicycle tyre on it as it was drying which left a mark in an otherwise absolutely pristine tank and original badges)
- a bracket making to run the original hub brake on the modern forks (easy 30 min job using some alu bar and a drill)

Some of you may remember this project from the old forum, but hey ho with every expectation to finish this year it just can't happen.

Long story short, my Grandad has terminal cancer and my dad can't afford his share of the funeral expenses so there it is, looking for offers around £800 (similar but very rough CD175 sold on ebay 2 months back for £1200, granted she ran but fk me it were rough and looked like a butty box had been used for the seat)

please call me on 07540435338 or email me on witt_t@hotmail.co.uk

More photos to be added this week plus registration details and age plus mileage (just to add the bike when I purchased was on the original V5 still which wasn't called that, I have a photo of it somewhere, looked like a birth certificate, hadn't been used since 1988) (edited 24/07/15)
