A wee trip through Wrynose....

Post by Chops Mcgoo » 10 May 2016, 20:09

I decided to make the best of the weather and go for a nice run through the lakes.

Up the M6 to meet the folks at a camp site for brekkie, around jct 42 (Armathwaite?) then, still hungry because they forgot I was coming, down past Ullswater through Kirkstone, then Wrynose and then home.

Bloody brilliant day!

It was a good day. I wanted to pull over every 5 minutes just to take it all in!

Also nearly KO'd a cyclist who was coming down Wrynose at about MAC 2! He called me a CNUT for being in his way - I was doing 15 mph (which is fast for me!).

Nice stretch on the riight bike.
Was out on my then BMW R with a group some of sports bikes of the day.
Mention the road, but said it was too much for them.
They took that as a challenge.
So crossed from West to east.
They all made it, but weren't impressed at the after Hardknot and Wrynose, ha ha.
Suckers!
