Live near the salt mines in middlewich and seem to spray it on by the bucket load around here at the slightest hint of cold weather.

Gotta agree there - went out Saturday - very cold but stunning skies / views etc - all geared up for Sunday but the salt wagons had been out which made the roads all slimey and salty - hopefully the rain is washing it away - as soon as its dry and salt free I'll be back out - no heated gear so 50 miles each way is about the limit - some great winter rides once the leaves have washed away !

Rode 125miles yesterday back home over the yorkshire moors etc, freezing-yes, chucking it down-yes, windy- cpuld have sailed home for free amd probably gotten there quicker too, but yeah, loved it. Its not ideal to purposely set out in it i admit but c'mon TIE (this is england) if we didn't brave the cold etc we'd only ride 3-5 weeks a year haha.

Cannot wait for crispy dry, baltic cold, deadly calm winters days, seriously newt better :) and the bacon butty can be justified once again.

Think I need a winter hack and a full set of gortex. I'd be out all the time then .
