Just on the way home from John Warrington motorcycles, Dave and John were great, very helpful and more than happy to explain the whole process not just bang jets in get it somewhere near and take your money kinda guys, true gents and highly recommended.

They did as well as they could with the selection of carb parts I took (one needle oops). It needs more fine tuning and ignition mapping, it wasn't really responding when Dave tried to add some advance to get the flat spot gone as the fuelling was too rich mid range so he decided to just put it on a flat map.

It still made 109hp at the wheel @ 9469 rpm and 61ftlb at 9227

Starts to sign off after 9500 just as kenny from TSA said it would.

Massive potential and not a bad starting point :)

Will post a vid later

Another of me rolling through the gears only up to about 8k

http://youtu.be/1bSypLcclvg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We had to put 4 straps on for the power runs as it was looking like wanting to climb off the dyno and it spun up a few times.

That's sounding like it could be a little fun

The fucking about continues, done a drawing to get some bell mouths made up for the carbs, not much space so they aren't very long.. Took the dims off this pic ;)

Seems I need to have a good read up on mikuni needles and tapers before ordering some to try as seemingly no one has a fucking clue what the codes mean! Then I'll get back on the dyno at some point.

Little update

Bellmouths made up from my drawing and in the post, will be a shame to put a filter over them!

Got some more needles on order, hopefully next time it's on the dyno we will have a fighting chance at getting it somewhere near right.

Decided I'm going to have this paint scheme, but Yamaha blue instead of red. Might have YAGIVA or something too instead of Yamaha lettering, don't really want it to be seen as a TZ copy. Or maybe that wouldn't be a bad thing? Not sure.

I think Mito 443 might be the most appropriate... Yagiva could sound like a Chinese rip off brand?

Like the suggested paint job though, looks nice

It would probably look cool and obvious if it was done a while ago, but knowing there are genuine Chinese bike manufacturers calling themself things like 'Yayama', it runs a risk making something epic (which this project is for sure) appear like a cheapy bike?

Tricky
