66cc 2 stroke bike,

Post by Stumoores » 07 Nov 2018, 16:55

As already mentioned in Rumps “impulse buy thread” I’m currently grafting a 2stroke engine onto a pushbike. I dropped lucky with the pushbike off of flea bay and hope to have similar luck with the Chinese engine.
Pics to follow

I bet that rear sprocket was a pain in the dick to centre up.
Will be sweet though, just need a tweed suit and a pipe now.

It wasn't too bad. Took about 20 minute to true up. The spec is 1.5mm run out max. ( I managed 0.4mm, rubber clamps and bendy spokes aren't the best ) the sexy grips are off and I've wrapped all the frame where the engine bolts to. Will do a few more progress pics later and produce a commission video. I will probably be going to the TT senior race on it if I can get time off from house hunting/moving. Ferry out on Thursday afternoon and back on Saturday. (Foot passenger with pushrod is only £100)
