Is i not just a cam/crescent shaped piece of metal that slips under your cable in the throttle tube?

Nope. Its a new throttle tube with a larger cam. Its a fair bit bigger to be fair.

So it makes the throttle more coarse and aggressive?

Doesnt need 2 twists to get full throttle like now.
Puts it on a par with the R6.

My MV was fly by wire but also only had 1/4 turn to full throttle, was frightening to try and ride smoothly, sure its your best option?

I would have thought a proportional cam would have been more appropriate.

I've done the same mod to 5 or 6 bikes previously.
You quickly adjust to the faster turn.
Its one of tbose mods that make you think, why didn't it come like that in the first place..?!
Why Yamaha saw fit to use a shorter turn and Honda didn't is beyond me.

Came back to this today.
Got back from mot at 10.30 and got stuck straight in.
Finished at 8pm.
What a mission.
Fitted new headers. Then fitted a decat, which requires the cat cutting off. Had to go and buy a gasket from Rochdale Honda, i stupidly didn't check if there was one included with the decat pipe.
That all took several hours and i got rained on plenty.
Next up was throttle tube and quickshifter. What a mission.
Missed a pipe off on the rebuild and had to take the airbox all back off to fit it.
Had a flashing engine light which alerted me to this.
An hour wasted.
Need to setup the quickshifter, well run the auto setup program any way.
Too late tonight.
The bike is very loud and it was 8pm when i finished.
Setup and then test ride tomorrow.
Doing nothing else to this bike now.
Its broke me today. I'm knackered and my back is killing me.
It better all be worth it.

Setup and test ride done.
Throttle tube is a massive improvement. So much better and not overlyaggresive. Adjusted to the difference very quickly. Not ridden the bike for months so easy adjustment.
The quickshifter is something else entirely. Never used one before, so a huge learning curve.
Tried to get it setup just right, but needs a proper shake down to fine tune it to me. I may have to switch to race shift yet. I'm not getting my foot under the lever smoothly and getting false cuts as a result.
Stamping down would alleviate this so that may be the way to go.
The decat may well have been too much on the exhaust. With the end can i previously fitted its now very loud. The jury is still out...

Cutting off the Cat' sounds a bit of a one way street.
