how come? My last two bikes passed MOT's with no advisories.

Because if it's not an independent light when brake flashes your numberplate does too and thus becomes to the copper defective light the brake flashing is fine it's eu law I blackened the bottom of tail light so there was no white light for plate and added led reg holder bolts

ah right, i get you. All my lights were OEM independent any way, i did get pulled on my RVF for showing white, copper pulled the bulb out n said tis fine now. He said don't show white at the rear & law doesn't require plates to be lit (i wasn't going to argue and have never checked )

First one. Go with what you prefer - the cost is relatively immaterial when considered with you total spend buying/tidying/running the bike :)
