Cbr600 f2 rear conversion
Cbr600 f2 rear conversion
Hi guys I've recently acquired a 600f2 (1992) and I've read in various places about changing the rear end but no one really goes in to to much detail
I'm thinking of turning this bike into a streetfighter so I want to make it a single seat and put a better looking rear end on
Just haven't a clue what would go on without to much hassle as I've never welded in my life
Aby help would be muchly appreciated

Re: Cbr600 f2 rear conversion
Did you need to do any mods to the subframe or did it go straight on? And could I be cheeky ad ask for a picturePurity14 wrote:I have a 600rr rear end on my F3

Yes, you have to mod your subframe.Daveace22 wrote:Did you need to do any mods to the subframe or did it go straight on? And could I be cheeky ad ask for a picturePurity14 wrote:I have a 600rr rear end on my F3
They do it all the time in America and it is well documented.
However you have to spend a long time lining things up otherwise it will just end up looking shit.
I don't run an undertail exhaust, I use a standard exhaust (not mounted yet in picture)
I use tool tubes instead, they are waterproof tubes that I keep spares/things in.
I still have little snaggy bits to go over and make better (like the rear indicator mounts etc)

Re: Cbr600 f2 rear conversion
Which top yoke is that?Purity14 wrote:I have this one to hand, if its my risers you want to see?

Re: Cbr600 f2 rear conversion
Standard top yoke, dropped 25mm.
Attached to the fork legs are bolt on fork leg risers.
Saves me drilling the OEM top yoke!
