It's a connector of some soft. Cable tied to left pillion peg. My guess is something to do with trickle charging battery in winter but I've no idea. ImageImage

Just trace it back if it goesdirect to the batt then thats what it is

You are correct, its an optimate lead.
Saves you having to connect the trickle charger direct to the battery so no faffing round with seat removal etc.
Just plug in and leave whenever bike is stood for any length of time.
