Diabolo heated grips
Hi guys. Ok. So I'm a wuss and this yr I decided to have heated handgrips for the winter. Now it's not too difficult in theory I think, but I would like to ask help as there is a wealth of knowledge here. First question is. How to find a switched live? I do have a multimeter but never used it yet. I bought it in anticipation of a moment like this. They are diabolo, seem fine so far but they're not fitted yet. Lol. So Do you have any Hints tips insults? Please fire away.

The power to your front brake lamp switch is a switched live.
Just spur off that.

Job done. Took about an hour and a half all in. It's toasty now. The throttle sleeve is a bit longer than the one that was on before. Doesn't say it can be trimmed so I'll need to find a spacer I think to lengthen the gap so the throttle doesn't catch. Otherwise we'll pleased. Can't wait to try them out.

Wimp....
I'm not sure I can fit them to my little grom. The little bike doesn't produce enough umph to run them. Haha.

Re: Diabolo heated grips
The oxford ones I fitted needed cutting down.
Should say in the instructions if its ok to do so.
Did you remember to glue them?

fitted a set of the oxford ones to someones bike the other day, nice to see at last someone has done them without the need for a switched live.

Re: Diabolo heated grips
The reason I did mine off the switched live was so they couldn't be left on and drain the battery.bloke wrote:fitted a set of the oxford ones to someones bike the other day, nice to see at last someone has done them without the need for a switched live.

Re: Diabolo heated grips
the oxford ones power off when they see clean voltage, the controller will light up but the grips don't heat up. think it said that they will also turn off after 30 or 60 minutes with the engine running anyway?
