Re: M6 x 28 bolt flange
A flanged head is only to replace a washer not form a seal, unless it is machined flat to a machined flat surface,
Use Dowty washers to seal if needed.

Found the same thing on a 535 a few years back.
You'll most likely need refurb kits for the carbs to get it to run right.

Re: Safety recall
Hi dave. Letter says valve clearance check and tappett replacement so minimum is taking the head off. Spoke to millennium who've told me if it needs parts when they check the valves etc they will need to order in. Best case scenario is couple days and worst case probably just over a week. I've mail...

Re: EU exit, for or against?
As my job could depend on this due to pending contracts, I would most probably vote no.
But given that we (UK) would be able to arrange trade agreements with a wider geographic, this could give the country a boost with exports becoming cheaper for emerging markets, a yes might be in order.

Don't agree.
Not built to a budget.
Most of the others would be the same if not more for the quality you get.

Re: Honda plans RVF1000 V4 superbike
I'm with Paul. Honda have lost the plot, although all Jap manufacturers can be put in this slot. They make some great bikes but they don't have an edge, that one thing that separates them from others. It seems like the Japs took hold and thought no one would pinch their thunder during the 2000's whi...

Re: Garage service vs diy
I do all my own servicing. Not bothered about service stamps as I keep all receipts even down to the odd screw I've replaced. Jot the date and mileage on the receipt. I usually do a few bits of tidying and strip/grease and clean while I'm at it. It's the time when you can spot if anything is wearing...
