Re: Halford tool sale
I bought their professional socket set about 18 months ago on a half price deal, it's a great bit of kit for £80 to be fair.

Re: What have you done today?
Went to Rivi this morning for a brew, then onto Parbold hill and then Southport, loads of bikes at each venue.
Came home and bought a set of Urban Brawlers off Ebay.
Happy days.

Re: Helicoil query
Having checked the chart at work the tap required is a special helicoil tap, min pitch 5.520 Max 5.597.
I'd take up Lee's offer to save time and expense if I were you.
Although you can get an M5 kit off EBay for less than a tenner if you thought you might need it again in the future.

Re: Helicoil query
It should be 5.2mm drill for a 5mm Helicoil, 6 is way too big, 5.3mm will do at a push though.
Oh, and I think the tap will be 5.5mm.
I can double check this info tomorrow when I get in work.

Re: What have you done today?
Spent all day nursing the hangover from hell whilst staring longingly out the window at the nice riding weather.

Re: MCE insurance
I had the same from them Kev, a very good quote initially but they wanted 2K excess, 2 feckin K  I called them to ask if it was a mistake and they said they would reduce it to £500 but it would cost me an extra £150 on the policy, which then made their quote a not very good one. I went with H...

Hi Dan and welcome aboard from a fellow former sailor (Merchant Navy), keep your eye out for the chippy runs, we often head down to Newcott chippy once the evenings get a bit lighter, pop over and say hello to everyone if you get a chance.
