what you need to be careful of is the reaction to the salt with the cleaner, this leaves furry bolts etc.Its best to wash of the salt with cold water and clean throughly with it until all the salt is removed. I tend to protect the bike before going out on salty roads ,ACF 50 or GT50 (similar to WD40...
