I'm on here because I have been for years and the chat makes me feel grounded. I routinely use the Tiger 800 and F650 forums initially for the huge wealth of information/ expertise available. I also go on a couple of adventure bike groups where I enjoy reading about other's going all over the place ...

If I were you, before I buy a bigger bike, I'd try out as many different bikes as I can to see what floats your boat and feels right for you.

I've seen the surgeon. He's decided it appears to be pretty stable so I'm immobile again for another two weeks to see if it has a chance of mending itself. If not I'm getting meccano lol.

I can't have a smart meter. My house is in poor signal area and the mains comes in under the stairs. They tried to install smart meter last year but it wouldn't get a phone signal so they had to put a bog standard meter back in. I'm not sure if that makes me lucky or unlucky as it's a bastard gettin...

Thanks Ant n Jim. Unfortunately I don't bounce at all unless I've had five pints of lager and a couple of JDs or Dark n Stormys. Maybe that's the answer. If I'd have come off my bike pissed I'd have been ok!!
