Re: Is it just me? Today's Minutes silence.
True, but why travel to north Africa to whats basically reclaimed desert anyway?? Always told my misses i'd never go there as its a pointless place that purely exists because of tourism. Same goes for Goa. I also won't go to turkey, marakesh, or Egypt- even the non Egyptian bit that travel agents f...

Re: Red light camera
As I've previously stated, the yellow came on just before I reached the lights, there was zero chance of stopping. The irony, sped up by 7mph so I wouldn't be flashed by a red light camera and got the speed instead -_-

Re: Red light camera
She's not been home for a couple of days, so it remains to be seen yet. I wont be a happy bunny if she gets away Scott free haha! But I have a feeling my bike may well have been blocking her plate from the camera....Jazzi wrote:Did your mrs get one too or just you?

Re: Red light camera
Was this the same camera ? So they catch the red light runners and record your speed ? So if you was speeding through on an empty road and a green light , would that trigger the camera to catch your speed ? I never knew those cameras recorded speed . Always thought it was just an image of any vehic...

Re: Red light camera
Oh dear ! No red light ? So they are doing you for speeding ? I doubt you willget off with that as the camera never lies ! Unless it's not calibrated , or enough warning signs at so many metres apart ... Blahblahblah !!! Just pay up Pete , if you contest it , it's a magistrate job which might go in...

Re: Red light camera
Well, the Nip came in the post today. No red light, just for 48 in a 40, as I sped up to safely make it across, worth appealing?

Re: Poorly bike
My mates Hornet went through a similar episode - ran but kept blowing fuses and then died - Reg/Rect - he got one off EBay but it failed straight off - eventually a Honda one went in and all good ... There are some reliable pattern parts but getting the right one is the trick ... It does sound like...

Re: Red light camera
That's a decent point jazzi. No myself and Georgia were both on our own bikes, but riding closely, we were doing the limit but both made exactly the same decision that there's no way near enough time to stop safely. My Ducati has a lot less stopping power than the sv did, or the cbf, its a single di...

Red light camera
Got flashed for the first time in 6 years last night. Lights turned to yellow when I was 15 or so metres from them, 40 limit, in my opinion I couldn't stop safely without slamming on and risking a lock up, the lights were still yellow when I (and miss fix it) went through, yet we were flashed. Is it...

Re: Ducati servicing
Bloody hell - owning a Ducati is complicated - serviced my CB1000R yesterday - oil & filter then adjust and lube chain - clean the bike ! - Honda - press and go ! I do like Ducatis but they do seem to need a lot of tlc that they are, my 916 cost me more to maintain each year than the rest put toget...
