It was a good day. I wanted to pull over every 5 minutes just to take it all in!

Also nearly KO'd a cyclist who was coming down Wrynose at about MAC 2! He called me a CNUT for being in his way - I was doing 15 mph (which is fast for me!).

I decided to make the best of the weather and go for a nice run through the lakes. Up the M6 to meet the folks at a camp site for brekkie, around jct 42 (Armathwaite?) then, still hungry because they forgot I was coming, down past Ullswater through Kirkstone, then Wrynose and then home. Bloody brill...

Sorry I meant the a580 expressway thingie, it opens July 2015......or it was meant to......might be 2016 now if we're lucky!

I'm sure I saw an article somewhere that said that lane and r'others were going to be open for bikes but I might have imagined it!

I think you should be able to put the phone into "do not disturb mode". Can't remember how it's been a while but it should be there somewhere.

It's handy because you can allow certain numbers to still call you in an emergency.

I'm not 100% but I think when the new bus lane on the lancs opens they will all be made biker friendly a bit like down in London Town!
