Just a heads up.
The Newtown bypass is now under construction.
The new road is very close to the A483 so there is now a 30mph limit and plenty of traffic lights at the Newtown end.

Measure the shim across it's face in 2 places it doesn't matter what size it is now, although they don't really wear. Then add the shim size to the measured clearance. When you turn the engine off there won't be any fuel in there. As there is no vacuum to pull through (carbs) or if injection no power. Any tiny amount of fuel will evaporate due to the heat first. So if you have all the buckets and shims out, you must have measured the gaps before removal and written them down then measured the shims as you removed them?
