Re: Re-learning

First ride of the season for me was on my old AJS for an MOT and a potter around. I really enjoyed it and stayed out longer than I had planned. 😁 When I took my SP-2 out the next week however, it was a different story. I really had to concentrate and think far ahead. I have definitely become rusty a...

Re: My ride

Looks very nice. I always think it gives you more confidence and riding pleasure when you have given the bike a good sort-out yourself.

Re: Bike Specialists - Sheffield

I keep this site in open on my phone TBH.

I don’t know how they get so many rare and special bikes.

Some amazing machines, but looking at the prices, they are aimed at serious collectors 😳

Re: Would you rather...

I think the 213 for me. I’ve seen the Padgets bike over at the TT a few times and was knocked out by the looks and sound.

I probably couldn’t hang on to the Kawasaki anyway😂

Re: Brand Anti-Affiliation

For me it’s Kawasaki. It probably stems back to when my lad was getting into riding. He had a few dirt bikes, but the KL200 was a dog. I was fixing it constantly. Then one day it put him in hospital with concussion, so it had to go. (Goody was with us when it happened.) My mate has a bike shop and s...

Re: SpaceX

The world’s most expensive bird scarer 😁
Apparently you can get a phone app called spacexnow, but I’ve not had chance to look at it yet.
It is certainly an impressive sight, and that’s only the test!

Bloody wet weather....

I am sick of the wet conditions, I can’t wait for everything to dry out. Every time I walk my dog she needs a bath, (ie transferring her mud onto me.) And Labs love muddy puddles! Waste of time washing the car, because it’s as dirty as ever 5 miles down the road. And bikes? I’ve forgotten how to rid...

I was at the Ramsey sprint last year and there was a bloke having a go while his dog was in a leather pannier!!
Seemed to enjoy it😁

Re: Ron Haslam Race School

Yeah, totally agree. It is one of the best days out you can have on a bike. I have done it a couple of times with my lad. I used the 600 both times, but my lad had the ‘blade the last time. It comes with full telemetry so you can see your improvements. Ron is a top bloke and very easy to talk to. Yo...
